UPDATE: I was just told that a scene from the show entitled Women in History has been invited to perform/compete at The Theatre Association of New York State Theatre Festival in November, 2013 and will be one of nine shows presented during this weekend showcasing non-professinal theatre from throughout New York state!

Aquaman!

In June, my ten-minute play Aquaman about – uh – Aquaman was produced by The Red Brick Road Theatre Co. in Los Angeles as part of Shorts 2 (w/ with Hannah Kaplan as Wonder Woman and Colin Contreary as Batman, directed by Valerie Vasilas.)

I wish I could have been there because it looks like they had a blast.

Here’s a picture of Jarrett Lennon Kaufman as a disgruntled, well – You can guess, can’t you?

Aquaman has always been one of my favorite characters and I always thought he got kind of a raw deal, publicity-wise.  They sure could have used him during that Sharknado, don’t you think?

March Readings and Productions

What a lovely gift the theatre world is going me for my birthday — A production of a new ten-minute play and a reading of a new full-length play.  If you live in Massachusetts and would like to attend either event, here is the relevant information.  Maybe we’ll see you there?

KAICC

King Arthur in Contemporary Connecticut

a full-length play by James C Ferguson

Thursday, March 14, 7:00 PM

Trident Booksellers & Cafe  338 Newbury Street  Boston, MA

Please join the Vagabond Theatre Group for a reading of local playwright James C Ferguson’s KING ARTHUR IN CONTEMPORARY CONNECTICUT!

In the middle of a battle with the evil Mordrid, King Arthur is suddenly and magically transported to the twentieth century, where he’s faced with continuing his quest for the Holy Grail. In this comedy/satire inspired by Mark Twain’s famous work A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur’s Court, the Has-been King Arthur meets up with the wizard Merlin (who of course–being a wizard–is immortal ) and the ghosts of friends long past to settle scores and forge a new future.

As with all TWBW readings, admission is FREE, though we do suggest a donation of $2 to help us continue to hold events like this and bring fresh, new voices to Boston audiences.

So, arrive early, grab a drink and a bite to eat in Trident’s cafe, and support small theatre!

RSVP on Facebook and invite your friends!

“News”, a ten-minute play by James C. Ferguson, will be part of Theatre One‘s Slice of Life Festival of New Ten Minute Plays March 22, 23 and 24 at The Alley Theatre 133 Center St Middleboro, MA.
